Last week, UNL Nutrition Education Program (NEP) Extension Assistant Zahraa Rida (pictured at left) attended the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) North Central Region Educator Conference in Minnesota, where she presented two posters highlighting community-focused nutrition efforts as part of the showcase session.

One poster — developed by Zahraa, Extension Educator Emily Gratopp and two other statewide NEP staff — featured a project on Feeding Infants and Toddlers for Middle Eastern Families, which was funded by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO).

The other poster — developed by Zahraa and Emily — featured Chronic Disease Management Approaches for New Americans.
