⚖️ Now Hiring: Legal Counsel

Are you an attorney who thrives on solving complex legal challenges and providing strategic guidance? The Nebraska Department of Education is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal Services Office and help support the agency's mission of serving students, educators, and communities across Nebraska.

In this role, you will:
✔ Draft, review, and interpret contracts and procurement documents
✔ Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and support procurement processes
✔ Handle educator certification investigations and administrative hearings
✔ Collaborate with investigators to prepare cases, conduct discovery, and draft legal briefs
✔ Respond to public records requests and review tort, contract, and miscellaneous claims
✔ Research statutes, regulations, and court decisions to provide sound legal guidance
✔ Partner with agency leaders to support the implementation of Nebraska education laws

📍 Location: Lincoln, NE
💰 Salary: $84,393.74/year

We're looking for an attorney with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach. Experience with contract law, state procurement, or administrative hearings is highly valued.
