Meet Bryan Davis, our new Vice President of Operations! Bryan has only been at PCM since December but has already jumped into overseeing the daily activities of the shelter, Curtis Center, and the Help Center.

Bryan and his wife Laura served as missionaries in Senegal for 25 years, where they raised their twins Ethan and Téa. While in Senegal they got to learn different cultures and languages, and even got to help start a school system. For the two years before joining us at PCM, Bryan was a professor of Anthropology and Social Work at North Central University in Minneapolis, where his kids are now juniors.

Join us in welcoming Bryan to the PCM team!

Meet DeeJay Burton, our Chaplain! He joined our team in February 2020. He is our lead pastor at the People’s City Mission Connections Church and leads service every Sunday. DeeJay spends time every day praying and talking with our guests, and offers Biblical counseling to those who’d like it. He is also a part of our marketing team and keeps everyone laughing with his jokes!

He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in missions and spent time working in the inner city of Chicago and overseas. Deejay came to the People’s City Mission because it fit the call of his life in serving people.

DeeJay has a background in carpentry and outside of work he enjoys spending time doing home improvement projects and traveling with his family.

Pastor Dee Jay and Pastor Tom at the Haymarket this last weekend to promote Only251: for only $2.51 you can feed one person one meal once a month at the Mission. That’s about what you’d pay for a cup of coffee. The goal is to get 20,000 people signed up. If we can do that, we can provide 3 meals a day for everyone in Lincoln who is experiencing homeless! If a lot of people give just a little bit, we can change A LOT! Go here to sign up to give monthly: https://only251.org/
