DID YOU KNOW … that many hummingbirds LOVE to sit on zip ties? Their ultra-lightweight bodies can easily grip the narrow, textured surface. And, a zip tie acts as a highly visible, strategic "lookout" perch (or captain's chair 😅) where they can guard their territory!
I have them on all of the shepherds hooks in the yard above the hanging baskets, and on the hooks holding the feeders. Place them up high and give them a perch to rest!
JOEY FERRARI has his favorite but I have seen him perch on more than one. Usually late afternoon/evening. Enjoy the cute zip tie photos!

They don’t like each other and haven’t seen each other so this is a rare moment to have two in such close proximity to each other without a chase. You can hear one of them doing one of their calls.
