Today, Doug Logan, Demarqus O’Neal, and David Hesselmeyer were at the Harnett County Local Emergency Planning Committee meeting discussing initial findings of the 2025 Harnett County Hazardous Materials Commodity Flow Study. This study allows for the understanding of what hazardous materials are being transported via road, rail, and pipelines within a County. We are eagerly putting the finishing touches on the report and then we will submit it to Harnett County Emergency Management where they can take the information and continue planning for Haz Mat incidents within the County. Thank you Harnett County EM and LEPC for allowing us to support you in this project.

Yesterday, our President/CEO was given the honor and privilege of presenting to the North Carolina Governors Food Safety and Defense Task Force. The presentation covered what work OTP does with local health departments to assist in ensuring the safety of food and how we respond with health departments during special events and incidents when they occur. David was accompanied by Nikki de Jesus from OTP in networking and sharing our information.
