One of the highlights of Shining Together in Motion was watching MO Fitness get the crowd moving, smiling, dancing, and fully engaged before the adaptive sports demonstrations even began!

Led by the incredible Morineke White, Move with Mo Fitness brings high-energy, uplifting dance fitness experiences to communities through her dynamic MixxedFit-style classes that combine music, movement, motivation, and FUN.

Mo kicked off the event with an exciting Zumba warm-up that had families, volunteers, vendors, and participants all moving together and it instantly set the tone for an unforgettable day of inclusion, connection, and joy.

What makes Mo even more inspiring is that her impact goes far beyond one community. Traveling both locally and internationally, she continues to inspire people of all backgrounds through fitness, music, and movement.

Founded in 2015 by Angela Hamlet, Ubuntu 4 Youth was created in response to the growing crisis of teen su***de, bullying, and the social challenges impacting youth across Georgia and the nation.

Recognizing the connection between peer bullying, mental health struggles, poverty, school dropout rates, lack of opportunity, and hopelessness among youth, Ubuntu 4 Youth is committed to helping young people make healthy, positive life choices while building confidence, self-worth, and respect for others.

Through education, advocacy, collaboration, and community engagement, Ubuntu 4 Youth has reached more than 15,000 teens, parents, families, educators, and youth-serving professionals throughout Georgia. Their programs have also provided over 13,000 students access to proven and effective health education initiatives designed to empower and uplift youth.

YES, fishing is a sport, and YES, everyone can learn adaptive skills used for fishing!

A huge thank you to ' Weaver with GB's Lake for being a part of Shining Together in Motion and for providing hands-on instruction in fundamental fishing skills, including rod casting and outdoor engagement activities.

Participants had the opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, and experience the fun and excitement that fishing can bring in an inclusive and supportive environment.

This initiative reflects GB’s Lake’s commitment to making fishing more accessible and inclusive for individuals of all abilities and we are excited about what’s ahead!

GB’s Lake is partnering with Auturity to promote inclusive fishing experiences for individuals with autism and disabilities.
