Jody S. Bauer, 49, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

He was born on November 19, 1976, in Fort Wayne to Joseph Bauer and Mary (Taylor) Macpherson.

Jody worked as a beloved Amish driver.

Jody enjoyed traveling and nature. He was a very faithful and devout man who loved to listen to sermons. Jody had a quick and sarcastic whit. Most of all, Jody will be fondly remembered for his fierce passion.

He is survived by his children, Leah (Ryan) Swanson and Stevie (Keaton) Shane; 6 grandchildren; mother, Mary Macpherson; brothers, Shaun (Kim) and Casey (Alison); wife, Amy Bauer; and many nieces and nephews.

Jody was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Bauer; and grandparents, Robert and Norma Taylor.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier with public calling from 12 noon until the start of the funeral at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Hawpatch Cemetery near Topeka.

Memorials in Jody’s name may be directed to the family to be used in accordance with their needs and wishes.

Larry James Wallace, 79, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Goshen Hospital.

He was born on March 16, 1947 in West, Mississippi to the late Arnell James and Mary Frances (McHan) Wallace.

Mr. Wallace answered his Country’s call and Honorably served in the United State Army.

On September 3, 1983, in Orland, Larry married the love of his life, Katherine Wieman.

Larry worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, having helped to construct many area roads and businesses. He was a 35 year member of IUOE Local 103.

In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding four-wheelers, and slot cars. He worked tirelessly to restore his 1964 Pontiac GTO and that car became one of his prized possessions. Most of all, Larry was a proud grandpa, always spending as much time with his grandchildren as he could.

Larry is survived by his wife, Katherine; children, Leah (Thomas) Gall, Nicholas (Crystal Criswell) Wallace, and Adam Papoi; grandchildren, Aiden Schultz, Collin Wallace, Alice Gall, Feanix Wallace, Baylor Gall, and Nolan Wallace; and siblings, Patricia and Wayne.

Also preceding him in death were siblings, Jeanette, Gwen, Mary Ann, Arthur “Bub”, and Linda.

A Memorial Service celebrating Larry’s life will be announced at a later date.

Memorials in Larry’s name may be directed the Goshen Cancer Center.

Jana Miller Obituary June 9, 2026 - Yeager Funeral Home 06/10/2026

Jana L. Miller

Jana L. Miller, 55, of Ligonier, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

She was born on June 24, 1970 to Charles “Chuck” and Suellen (Heintzelman) Beers.

Jana was a graduate of West Noble High School and then went on to graduate from Hanover College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

On November 18, 1995, in Cromwell, Jana married the love of her life, Timothy “Tim” Miller.

In Jana’s free time, she loved everything sports. She was also an avid Colts, Pacers and especially West Noble fan. She and her sister loved to attend Cubs games and were working their way to all the stadiums. Jana enjoyed reading, puzzles, walking and spending time at her pool. The most important part of Jana’s life was caring for her family, and her sons were her pride and joy. Jana will be fondly remembered for her deep love of her family, friends and her community.

Jana worked for nearly 32 years for Lake City Bank, most recently as the Manager of the Ligonier South Branch. Jana cared deeply about her Ligonier South team and clients, something everyone noticed the minute they stepped into her branch.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Miller; children, Philip (Caroline) Miller and Drew (Emma Berger) Miller; parents, Chuck and Sue Beers; siblings, Jill (Todd) Hughes and Joel (Angie) Beers; nieces and nephews, Tanner Hughes, Kelsey Hughes, Alle Cantu, Zach Beers and Izzy Beers; mother-in-law, Inge Baker; and brother-in-law, Tony Miller.

Jana’s family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier for a Memorial Calling.

Memorials may be directed to JA- Serving Noble County, Crossroads United Way and/or the Community Foundation of Noble County.
