It’s the season of spring/deep cleaning and the fb group pages are flooded with requests! I’ve seen a lot of posts/comments questioning rates and I posted something explaining rates a few weeks ago, but here’s another perspective to remind everyone that paying a cleaning company is very different than paying an individual person that cleans. There are certainly perks to both! It’s important to weigh the pros and cons of each while doing your research for a cleaner, and keep in mind not everyone has the same needs. For example, for a lot of people, it’s not just about the cleaning… it’s about the fact that they don’t have to think about, or shop for, or pay for supplies. It’s the peace of mind knowing that should something get damaged or broken, it’s covered. It’s the comfort of knowing that more than one person is behind that company, and your weekly clean will likely never be canceled last minute due to sickness or emergencies. Those are things that, while convenient, they also cost more.
