MCSA Executive Coordinator Carla Buckler, in Portsmouth, participated in Western Local Schools STEAM Career and Community Connected Learning Day on May 8, 2026. The event, structured like a vendor fair, allowed K-12 students to rotate through each booth/station to learn about future career pathways through conversation and hands-on learning opportunities. These activities provide a vital step in ending generational poverty in our rural community. This provides exposure to future career pathways to give the students the ability to dream BIG, then DO! Visit YouTube ‘2026 Western STEAM Day Walkthrough’ (Litter Media) for a video highlight of the day’s activities!

Last week, MCSA had the incredible opportunity to visit and support the Washington Street Warming Center in Paducah, KY. Our team made a donation and received a heartwarming tour of their facility, learning firsthand about the vital services they provide to the community.
The Washington Street Warming Center offers a safe and warm haven for individuals experiencing homelessness, especially during the colder months. They provide essential services including shelter, meals, all in a compassionate, dignified environment.
MCSA is proud to support organizations like the Washington Street Warming Center that make such a profound difference in our community. This visit was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together to support our neighbors.
