Shawna has fought incredibly hard through every challenge thrown her way. We have been working tirelessly in physical therapy, holding onto hope that one day she may regain the ability to walk again. At this time, there have unfortunately been no signs of nerve function improvement, but Shawna continues to adapt to her new life in a wheelchair with strength, courage, and determination that inspire us daily.

On June 8th, our family will be traveling back to the Shepard Center in Atlanta for additional physical therapy and specialized hands-on spinal cord injury treatment to continue fighting for every possible chance at recovery and improved mobility.

I just launched a fundraiser to support Shawna’s ongoing recovery after a serious accident that left her paralyzed. We’re traveling to Atlanta soon for more therapy in hopes of regaining nerve function, but the costs for travel, food, and care are adding up.
