Authentic Joy

"Obey your spiritual leaders and recognize their authority, for they keep watch over your soul without resting since they will have to give an account to God for their work. So it will benefit you when you make their work a pleasure and not a heavy burden."

Hebrews‬ ‭13:17‬ ‭TPT‬

This is so true. “Without resting” one has NO CLUE the rest a leader can NEVER recover naturally for the laboring through pray (and study) they do in the midnight hour for the souls they watch over.

Making life a burden through rebellion, dishonor and stiff neck behavior is also accounted for to God by those who’s behavior produces a heavy burden.

I grew up VERY Baptist and I THANK GOD for the discipline and unwavering honor I was thought during my upbringing.

I pray I am NEVER a burden to ANY of my leaders both in the past and present. I also pray it’s ALWAYS a (was) pleasure for them to watch over my soul.

It matters how we show up…no matter what side of the pulpit we are on.
