Congratulations to our 2026 Middlesex County Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy graduates! 🎉

This past week, our younger residents had the exciting opportunity to participate in the 2026 Middlesex County Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy.

Friday's graduation celebrated approximately 160 cadets, including an incredible 40 cadets from Lexington!

Throughout the week, participants developed valuable skills in safety, teamwork, leadership, and friendship while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Congratulations to this year's graduates on this achievement! 👏

A special thank you to all of our community partners who dedicated their time and support during Community Day, helping make this experience so meaningful for our cadets.

Community Alert: Phone Scam Using Police Department Number

The Lexington Police Department has received multiple reports from residents who have received phone calls that appear to come from the Police Department's business line (781-862-1212).

During these calls, the caller falsely claims to be a Lexington Police Officer investigating fraudulent activity involving Lexington residents. The caller may attempt to gain your trust or request personal or financial information.

Please be aware that caller ID can be spoofed, making it appear that a call is coming from a legitimate phone number when it is not.

If you receive a call like this:

Do not provide any personal, financial, or banking information.
Hang up immediately if you are suspicious.
If you are unsure whether a call is legitimate, hang up and contact the Lexington Police Department directly using a trusted phone number.
