I was honored to participate in the America 250 Celebration hosted by the Transylvania Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Their exhibit - Revolutionary Threads - has traveled across the state and been seen by over 50,000 people. It’s on display at the Lexington Public Library through July 12.

It was a real pleasure to witness the celebrations around Pastor Richard Gaines on his 30th Anniversary with Consolidated Baptist Church. Last night’s gala and today’s worship service are a testament to his faith and leadership. Lexington is better and stronger because of Pastor Gaines and Mrs. Sarah Gaines.

Lawyers from across Kentucky gathered in Covington this week for the annual Kentucky Bar Association Convention. This year’s educational program focused on artificial intelligence and its role as the next frontier in the legal profession.

Out and about this week across the Fifth Appellate District — Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Jessamine, Madison, Scott and Woodford Counties — at the KET Summer Celebration, the Silent Cry Domestic Violence Fair in Wi******er, and talking with voters throughout the district. Grateful for every opportunity to connect with our communities.

I had the chance to meet Mostafa Mubarak, the international student whose commencement speech at the University of Kentucky touched so many hearts last month. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here. It’s a wonderful reflection on the kindness of Kentuckians, finding family away from home, and the opportunities that await those who show up for others.

This week my sweet niece graduated from eighth grade, a new federal district judge was sworn in, I spent some time in the country with the American Farmland Trust, we dedicated a Liberty Tree in Bourbon County, and I cheered on friends who competed in Dancing with the Stars.
At work, 45 hearings and a bench trial. Some weeks are a reminder of how much can be packed into a few days. Grateful for every opportunity and looking forward to what next week brings.

The Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated two Liberty Trees today—living tributes to the patriots of the American Revolution and symbols of the liberty we cherish. 🇺🇸🌳

Toured the Ghost Fox Winery with some fun Jessamine County women and ended the day with two of my biggest supporters - Aunt Sherry Ferguson and Uncle Maner Ferguson.
