Mineral vs. chemical sunscreen… which one should you choose?🌞✨

The answer isn’t always one or the other. The most important step is knowing how to identify what’s actually in the bottle.

Mineral sunscreens contain:
• Zinc Oxide
• Titanium Dioxide

These ingredients sit on the skin’s surface and provide broad-spectrum UV protection.🩵

Chemical sunscreens contain ingredients like:
• Avobenzone
• Octocrylene
• Octisalate
• Homosalate
• Octinoxate

These filters absorb UV rays before they can damage the skin.

You may also come across hybrid sunscreens, which combine mineral and chemical UV filters to provide the benefits of both.🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

If you’ve recently had a chemical peel, microneedling, laser treatment, or your skin is feeling especially sensitive, a mineral sunscreen is often the preferred choice because it’s generally better tolerated by compromised skin.

Lip Flip vs. Lip Filler 😚💕

One of the most common questions we hear is, “What’s the difference between a lip flip and lip filler?”

While both treatments can enhance the appearance of your lips, they work in very different ways.
