Did you know that last year over 90% of the clients helped at CRCKY were Black or Brown?

With this in mind, CRCKY is proud to have joined the 40 organizations participating in the Bluegrass Community Foundation's Give 8/28 event. This event celebrates and supports Black-serving nonprofits.

Why host this event on August 28th? Because August 28th is the day Emmett Till was murdered in 1955, the day that Martin Luther King Jr. and his followers marched to Washington in 1963 (when King delivered his powerful "I have a dream" speech), and the day Barack Obama was nominated in 2008.

This year, there will be $60,000+ in matching funds & prizes. We hope those of you in a position to do so, will save the date to contribute to this event. This event opens at 9:00 am, and the first $15,000 donated will be matched, dollar for dollar. Plan to donate punctually at 9:00 am if you can, so CRCKY can benefit from matching funds.
