💡 The Treasury Department just announced the latest Series I bond rates, and here's what caught my attention: Starting November 1st, new purchases will earn 3.11% through April 2025.
A few key details worth noting:
➡️ The rate combines a 1.90% variable portion (tied to inflation) with a 1.20% fixed portion
➡️ This is a shift from the previous 4.28% rate we saw in May
➡️ For existing I bondholders, rate adjustments depend on your original purchase date
While rates have evolved from their historic highs, the fixed rate component continues to generate discussion among those focused on long-term wealth building. 💭
