Congratulations to Yvette Eastham, CFRE, the recipient of the 2021 Beth K. Fields Award! 🏆 Yvette serves as the Chief Institutional Advancement Officer at Hopkinsville Community College.

Yvette's nominator wrote, "Yvette Eastham has spent her career in higher education in the community college setting. As a former community college student, she has a unique understanding of the challenges faced by postsecondary students in that setting. She has championed the causes of students, helping to creatively solve issues as diverse as reading comprehension, workforce training, equity in education, expansion of critical thinking skills via the humanities, food insecurity, supplemental instruction, and capital construction needs for program expansion. Most recently, she led the establishment of a free food pantry, record-breaking annual campaigns, student emergency funds, and the first capital construction project on campus in over twenty years resulting in the construction of the Emerging Technologies Building. Throughout her years in community college higher education, she has sought progressive and creative solutions to problems faced by students of the institutions she has served. Over years of service to students, Eastham has propelled others to the awards spotlight while remaining in the background, focusing on mission driven results and acclaim for the institutions she has served and her colleagues."

The Beth K. Fields Award was established by the CASE Kentucky Board of Directors in 1994. The award was created in memory of Fields, who served as Director of Unit Associations for the University of Louisville Alumni Association, after a car accident on her way to work claimed her life, just one week after the CASE-Kentucky Conference.

Fields was an active CASE Kentucky Board member and admired advancement professional. The most prestigious award within CASE Kentucky, it recognizes the individual who continually goes above and beyond the call of duty in both their advancement profession and CASE Kentucky.

Congratulations to Yvette! We are honored to recognize you with this award.
