Teen dating violence occurs when one partner uses harmful or controlling behaviors in a romantic relationship. This might look like physical harm, sexual pressure, emotional manipulation, stalking, or harassment, and can happen even after the relationship ends.

Many teens hesitate to ask for help because they’re afraid of being judged or hurt again. Parents and caregivers can support them by creating a warm, open environment where difficult conversations feel safe.
