This is for the undertaker, who’s story is sad to tell, for what they do is unmentioned, and often overlooked as well.

She’s not at all what you may picture, she’s not wrinkled, old or grey. Her face is not pasty white, like the storybooks portray. 

Some people laugh and make their jokes, and some turn up their nose, and many thank that she is strange, for the life that she has chose.

But there are many things they don’t see, and even more that they don’t know. Like all the nights she gets NO rest and never lets it show.

They have heard she works day and night, with no time to eat or sleep. To care for those in mourning, and comfort those who weep.

The load she carries on her shoulders is more than most could bare, but she always seems to find time to make sure you know she cares.

So when you see the undertaker make sure you see the person that does the job that no one wants and that no one understands.

Being a undertaker is not a job it’s a life style that is chosen by the tough hearted 🖤
