Here’s the background:

This set was to be delivered today, the couple is leaving tomorrow for their anniversary trip. No problem! I got it all package up and ready to go. I had a play date set up for my daughter with my best friend, her sister and her nephew. So fun! As I’m packing out my baby, diaper bag, and box of cookies I briefly set the cookies on the hood of my car while I buckle my baby into her car seat. Get on the road, look around and think “where did I put the cookies?” That’s right. They never made it into the car. I quickly turn around hoping they maybe fell off in the driveway and pray some may be salvageable. Nope. Crushed in the intersection of 21st. Great. Tears immediately start, but I’ve got to get to work. Started the dough and mixing icing. Let the customer know what happened, thankfully she doesn’t hate me and we set up an early meeting time for tomorrow. The original set took me two days to make with drying, but I utilized my dehydrator and have them setting overnight. Proud of myself for getting it done so quick.

Thank god for Zoloft too.

In the last 24 hours I’ve made:

•3 cinnamon raisin loaves
•1 Italian herbs and cheddar
•1 jalapeño and cheddar
•3 bread bowls
•3 dozen brown butter chocolate chip cookies
•1 bakers dozen sourdough English muffins

Thank you so much to everyone keeping me busy over the last month. If you’re interested in getting your hands on some of my baked goods I accept orders up until 11am on Thursday for a Friday pickup!
