It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our friend and teammate, Daniel Gregory, who passed away peacefully in his sleep this past weekend at the age of 43.

For the past nine years, Dan was an important part of the CKA family. He was a one-of-a-kind architectural draftsman whose exceptional skill, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail helped shape countless projects throughout our region. His work reflected a level of care and craftsmanship that earned the respect of coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Beyond his professional talents, Dan genuinely cared about people—but especially enjoyed asking about everyone's kids and pets (although, if you knew Dan, you know he probably preferred the pets because they were less germy 😂). He loved camping, road trips to visit family—or simply because he loved to drive—listening to audiobooks, Marvel movies, and films that made you stop and think. His unique personality, humor, and thoughtful conversations gave us countless memories we will always cherish.

Earlier this week, we had the privilege of welcoming Dan's family to our office to share memories, stories, and laughter as we reflected on the impact he had on our lives and our firm. It was a meaningful time together and a reminder of how deeply he will be missed.
