Lewiston-Monita (Pratt) Ducharme of Winthrop, born in Lewiston, Maine, passed away at D'Youville Pavilion on June 26, 2026 at the age of 79.
She graduated from St. Dominic Academy and went on to spend many years working as a hair
stylist before finishing her career as a kitchen designer at Home Depot, where she worked for 17
years. She truly enjoyed talking with customers and staff and took pride in her work.
Monita was creative and had an eye for design, even designing two homes and a rental property
of her own.
She enjoyed time at the lake; boating, kayaking, and soaking up the sun. She found comfort and
companionship in her cats over the years and especially loved going out to eat with friends and
family.
She will be remembered for her strong personality and the moments shared with those closest to
her.
She faced Alzheimer's with the enduring love of her daughter and her husband, who cared for
her through the years, and the steady support of her sister and lifelong best friend, who remained
close by her side.
No services are planned.

Darrell Overmiller of Topsham, Maine, passed on the evening of June 11th after battling a long illness.
Born in Damariscotta, Darrell attended Morse High School in Bath. An exceptionally talented Metal Fabricator, he owned and operated Overmiller Metal Fab in West Bath for many years.
Darrell loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He most enjoyed doing both with his son Kevin, grandson Brody and brother Larry.
He was a long time member and officer of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL), spending countless hours working for Veterans’ causes. At the time of his passing, Darrell was the Commander of the SAL organization at American Legion Post 4 in Gardiner, as well as the Chaplain of the Post’s Legion Riders Motorcycle club.
Darrell was a familiar and well-known personality working as a volunteer bartender behind the wood of a variety of service and fraternal organization’s gathering places. His most recent, and favorite, was at Legion Post 4 in Gardiner…clearly the best for last.
Darrell’s greatest point of pride was being called “Grampy”. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends…and of course his dogs!
He leaves behind his loving partner Robin Taylor and her children, Ryan Taylor and grandson Korvus; Ruby Taylor, her husband Adam Smith and grandson Murphy. His son Kevin Overmiller and partner Meg Smith and grandson Brody; son Joey Brown and his wife Shannon, and grandson Grayson. Darrell is also survived by his mother, Hazel Adams, and his brother, Larry Overmiller. He was predeceased by his father, Ronald, and his daughter Kara Overmiller.
A Celebration of Darrell’s Life will take place on Sunday, June 28th at 1pm at American Legion Post 4, 46 Griffin Street, Gardiner, Maine.
