✨Balanced Smoothie Formula✨
Warm mornings = cold breakfast. BUT we don’t want it to be a sugar bomb. Here’s my formula for building a balanced smoothie or smoothie bowl full of protein, healthy fats and fiber.
✨Liquid - Skip the juice. Use water, coconut water or unsweetened milk of choice.
✨Include at least 1 serving of vegetables - leafy greens are an easy addition but you can also add a serving of zucchini or cauliflower (try plain frozen riced cauliflower). They are both so mild that they will blend right in and you won’t know they are there.
✨Limit fruit to 2 servings maximum. 1 serving = 1 cup frozen or fresh. (If you have a really big banana that you are using, it might be 2 servings)
✨Add protein: serving of greek yogurt, protein powder, nuts or nut butter
✨Add healthy fat: serving of chia seed, flax seed, h**p hearts, avocado, nuts or nut butter
Blend and enjoy!

✨Here’s your reminder to go book a family photo session! I put this off for years and wish I would have done this EVERY year as my kids grew up. is so talented and did an amazing job making us feel comfortable and capturing my kids personalities. Very grateful for her photography skills!✨

In the summer, I love letting the garden dictate what I make for dinner. No plans needed, just go out and see what is ripe and ready to be harvested. Add in a protein that you can throw on the grill and dinner is done. Needless to say, we ate A LOT of green beans this summer 💚
