If you have not been keeping up with the watering of your lawn because of the dry spell we’ve been having that’s understandable but they are calling for locally heavy rains on Tuesday. I would highly encourage getting some water around your foundation at a slow rate tomorrow and checking to make sure your gutters are clean. If the soil is extremely dry around your foundation it has pulled away and if you have cracks in the foundation and water gets between your foundation and that pulled away soil that water is almost certainly coming in your basement.
