Critical Reminder: Federal Employees Cannot Strike

The NEC has noted reports of strike actions, some led by local leaders. Remember: Federal employees lack the right to strike against the government. Participation risks termination, criminal prosecution, and imprisonment. Unions face severe penalties too. AFGE and its affiliates neither call for, participate in, condone, nor support strikes, slowdowns, sickouts, or work stoppages. We actively discourage them.
