I know a top priority for most families when evaluating a new home are the schools. But, for me it’s how close is the house to a really good taco spot. This gorgeous listing in the Brookside area has been totally updated but what really got my attention was that it was walking distance to Brookside Barrio.

It’s been my policy to avoid using my page as a platform to express my personal opinions. Unfortunately, a particular issue has been clawing at me and I can no longer remain silent.

Lines wrapped around Whataburger? Seriously! I finally had a chance to try one of these overly-hyped burgers recently. The hamburger had this soupy feel to it like I almost needed a spoon. Lettuce looked like the exact same stuff I buy in a bag from Hy-Vee. Fries were stale and cold. And, the much talked about ketchup that I specifically requested never showed up in my bag.

Look, it was a good burger. But, I’m missing what all the hoopla is about. I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that great athletes don’t necessarily make good food critics.
