Very well said! We may be a small country clinic, but we are full of good medicine, empathy, heart and willingness to try even when others would have thrown in the towel!!

One thing this industry has taught me is that a fancy facility does not equal quality work.

I have seen beautiful, million-dollar veterinary hospitals make mistakes that should never have happened. I’ve also seen small-town, mom-and-pop clinics with older equipment and modest facilities perform absolute miracles because they have the knowledge, experience, and attention to detail.

The same goes for reproduction.

A clean facility, good protocols, continuing education, and genuine care for every mare will always matter more than polished concrete, expensive buildings, or the newest paint job.

Before judging someone’s setup, ask yourself a simple question: Are you evaluating the quality of their work… or just the appearance of their facility?

At the end of the day, results speak louder than square footage. I’d rather be known for healthy mares, successful pregnancies, and happy clients than for having the fanciest barn around.

Don’t confuse appearance with ability.
