🚨 Operation Safe Driver Week! 🚨

North America is gearing up for a full week of increased traffic enforcement as CVSA launches Operation Safe Driver Week, running July 12–18. Law enforcement across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will be watching closely for unsafe driving behaviors — for both truck drivers and passenger vehicles.

This year’s focus: reckless, careless, and dangerous driving.
Officers will be looking for:
• Speeding
• Distracted driving
• Following too closely
• Improper lane changes
• Aggressive driving
• Failure to obey traffic control devices
• Driving under the influence
• Not wearing a seat belt

🛑 Truck Drivers: Stay Prepared
CVSA is encouraging drivers to refresh safe driving habits before hitting the road. Key reminders:
• Maintain safe following distances
• Eliminate distractions
• Obey posted speed limits
• Signal early
• Stay alert in work zones
• Adjust speed for weather & traffic
• Wear your seat belt
• Plan trips to avoid fatigue
