What if I embarrass myself? What if I don't know the answer? What if I upset someone? What if I fail?

How many times have these questions made you avoid doing something God had called you to? God understands the impact that fear has on us, but He also gives us what we need to fight it with truth. 🙌🏼

2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that fear does NOT come from God, so if we find ourselves feeling it, we must take action. Instead of fear, God gives us a spirit of power, love, and self-control. Here's what that practically means. ⬇️

💙 Power: Through Christ, we have authority over our thoughts, which means we don't have to believe everything we feel.

💙 Love: Even when it seems intimidating, God empowers us to love others as we pursue a Christlike response.

💙 Self-Control: Fear does not have the final say. We can acknowledge the thought, recognize it is not from Christ, and speak life over it.

Fear is a real thing. But our faith and hope in Christ equip us to respond to it with power, love, and self-control. 🙏🏼
