The percentage of households in the United States that have switched to solar power has been steadily increasing in recent years.

According to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the number of U.S. homes with solar panel systems has more than doubled in the past five years, from 1.2 million in 2016 to 2.5 million in 2020.

However, this still represents a relatively small percentage of total households in the United States, which is estimated to be around 128 million in 2020. So we can say that the percentage of households in the US that have switched to solar power is around 2%.
