Today we celebrate our country’s independence.

We are grateful for the freedoms we have and enjoy, but we continue to fight for those who continue to have their freedoms taken from them and are enslaved by traffickers.

Today is a reminder that we are grateful for those who have fought for the freedom in this country, but the fact that modern-day slavery still exists, tells us that there is still work to be done.

Recently our North Carolina team held a meeting to work on community awareness education in collaboration with various groups from the community. They had a great turnout with a wide variety of individuals from law-enforcement officials, attorneys and legal representatives, doctors, nurses, social workers, and rehab workers who are now eager to learn more about how they can turn their local community into an anti-trafficking community. Since then, the majority of individuals have reached out. Attendees have had the enthusiasm to further one-on-one education and training and further collaboration. We appreciate those individuals who are ready to join us in the fight against human trafficking and continue to end human trafficking one community at a time.

One by one.
Thank you Open Hearts for Orphans happy to be a part of this work with you!

The war abroad has shaken the world, and it definitely stirred up our plans with Exitus to rescue medically-fragile children being adopted from Ukraine. But today we praise the Lord, because the recipient of our very first "One by One" Medical Advocacy grant is on U.S. soil. She made it. Her family is obviously so relieved as are our wonderful partners at Exitus who never budged on this mission. Even when things seem bleak, Candace Rivera and her team refuse to stop fighting for the least of these. And we refuse to stop fighting right along with them until they all come home...one by one. Welcome home, beautiful girl. Your life is precious and so worthy of a loving family.💗

These are potential red flags in Human Trafficking. Be aware if you are ever in any of these situations with an employer or intimate partner. Human traffickers are very crafty in how they approach potential victims. Knowing these signs can help you avoid ever being caught by their tactics.
