This past Saturday (6/6), members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, and guests gathered at the Oliver Robert Dubé Fire & Rescue Training Academy for a memorial ceremony in honor of Captain Dannie Wilson. Captain Wilson’s name was added to the Line of Duty Death memorial located on the Academy campus, which serves as a reminder to never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.

Captain Wilson passed away on August 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He proudly served the Combined Fire and Rescue System and the Loudoun community for over 25 years. We are committed to honoring his memory and will never forget his sacrifice and the sacrifice of his family. Thank you to all who gathered to remember Captain Dannie Wilson.
