🌲 TRAINING TUESDAY: Taking Life-Saving Care Off-Road! 🌲
Ever wonder how we reach a patient who gets injured deep on the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail, at Ball's Bluff, or in the middle of a packed community festival? An ambulance can't always fit—but our Polaris UTV can! 🚑💨
Our volunteer crews train hitting the dirt to complete specialized classroom and hands-on emergency UTV operations training. Operating this mini-ambulance requires unique skill sets, including:
Tight-Terrain Maneuvering: Navigating narrow park paths and unstable field conditions safely.
Crowd Navigation: Learning how to safely and quickly split massive crowds during summer standby events without disrupting the fun.
Off-Road Patient Transport: Ensuring a smooth, stable ride for patients secured on our full-size onboard stretcher.
Our volunteers train constantly so that no matter where you need us in Loudoun County, we have the right tools—and the right skills—to get to your side.👇 Want to drive cool gear and protect your community? We provide all the gear and top-tier training for free! No experience required. Send us a message or apply today at Loudounrescue.org. 📲

🚨 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Assistant Chief Dalton Wagner! 🚑💨
Today, the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad (LCVRS) is incredibly proud to shine the light on one of our dedicated leaders serving the citizens of Leesburg and Loudoun County!
Ever since he was a kid, Dalton had a natural affinity for fire-rescue. Driven by a desire to give back to his community, learn new skills, and become the absolute best provider he could be, he stepped up to serve—and he hasn’t stopped climbing since!
Over the years, Dalton has answered the call in numerous vital roles, rising through our ranks as a Sergeant, Captain, and now our Assistant Chief. He also dedicated 4 years as our Staffing Officer, keeping our crews organized and ready to roll. When he isn't executing administrative duties, you can still find him out on the road acting as a dedicated driver and an EMT Attendant-in-Charge (AIC). But Dalton’s journey of growth isn't over yet! He is constantly looking toward the future, with goals to soon earn his master’s degree and fulfill his long-time dream of becoming a paramedic. Get to know Dalton outside the uniform:
⛳️ On the Green: He loves hitting the golf course whenever he can.
🥎 On the Diamond: He plays competitive men’s league softball.
🗺️ On the Road: He is an avid traveler with a personal goal to visit all 50 states!
"LCVRS has been wonderful over the years and I’m proud to be with such great providers and serve the citizens of Leesburg and Loudoun County!" Dalton shares.
Thank you, Assistant Chief Wagner, for your exceptional leadership, passion, and tireless commitment to keeping our community safe. We are incredibly lucky to have you on our team! 💙

Soon it will be July 4th! 🎆
Our crews are proud to be able to staff the upcoming local 4th of July fireworks celebrations! Whether you are heading to the main show or watching from home, we will be on standby to ensure everyone has a safe and happy holiday. When you celebrate with family and friends, we want to remind everyone to stay safe. Fireworks are beautiful, but they can be dangerous when not handled properly. If you choose to celebrate at home:
🔥 Only use legal fireworks permitted by the Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office.
💧 Keep a hose or bucket of water nearby at all times.
🛑 Never relight a "dud" or try to ignite fireworks in your hands.
🐶 Be mindful of your neighbors and pets, as sudden loud noises can be stressful for many in our community.
If you plan to attend local events, be sure to visit the Loudoun County Government Fireworks portal for up-to-date display information and safety tips. Stay safe, look out for one another, and have a fantastic 4th of July! 🚑🎇
