Big update for TMS providers 🚨
As of March 6, Cigna Evernorth no longer requires prior authorization for TMS treatments. That means faster access to care and fewer administrative hurdles moving forward.
👉 Important reminders:
• Patients before March 6 still require pre-auth
• Always verify coverage (TMS eligibility, copay, deductible, coinsurance)
• Documentation is more critical than ever — include failed therapies, medication history, and clinical necessity
⚠️ With reduced pre-auth requirements, there may be increased post-treatment record reviews, so accuracy and completeness are key.
