VIZBI 2018 session on visualizing populations and ecosystems

The populations and ecosystems session at VIZBI 2018 is chaired by James Procter (University of Dundee, UK). In this session, Antonio González Peña (UC San Diego, USA), will discuss interactive visual tools for analysing microbial shotgun sequencing data, Daniel Janies (UNC Charlotte, USA) will speak about the use of visual analytics for tracking superbugs, and Patrick Chain (LANL, USA) on tools and challenges in the meta-analysis of microbiome datasets.

VIZBI 2018 session on visualizing tissues and organisms

The tissues and organisms session at VIZBI 2018 will be chaired by Steve Pieper (Harvard University). In this session, Richard Smith (Max Planck Institute for Plant Genetics, Germany) will speak on visualizing morphogenesis data, Lydia Gregg (Johns Hopkins University) on advances and challenges in visualizing human anatomy, and James Michaelson (Massachusetts General Hospital) will discuss micro-CT data.
