So pleased to have the opportunity to represent "Lifting the Load for Single Moms" at the Christmas Reception by the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce last night.
We did it — 15 turkeys for 15 families! 🦃💛
Thank you to every donor who helped us reach this goal. Your generosity means the world to our moms.

✨ Five families have already received their Thanksgiving turkeys — and we’re not done yet.
Turkeys will be delivered on Sunday, Nov. 23rd, and there’s still time to bless a single mom before the deadline.
Every heart you help fill puts food on a family’s table. 🦃💛

Well said! 👏🏼 Teaching empathy to our kids is something we need to not over look!
I’m a “you don’t know what they go home to” kind of mom.
The mom who reminds her kids daily that not everyone has the same life, the same peace, the same love waiting for them at home.
Because kindness matters.
Sometimes, it’s the only thing a child gets that day.
I teach my kids that the quiet one might be carrying more than they can say.
That the “mean” kid might just be hurting in ways we can’t see.
That not everyone gets hugs goodnight, or warm meals, or a “how was your day?” when they walk through the door.
So yes, I’ll always be that mom.
The one who pauses to teach empathy in between homework and bedtime routines.
The one who reminds them that being kind doesn’t cost a thing, but it can mean everything to someone else.
Because at the end of the day, raising good humans who lead with compassion?
That’s the ultimate win.

Spread the word to our single mothers going through this government shutdown 🙏🏼
CANCELLED: RMI mobile on Tuesday has been cancelled due to the rain. We are currently updating this graphic.
A couple things to keep in mind this Mobile Monday:
1. The need is incredibly high right now due to the shutdown/SNAP. We will help feed as many families as we can, but our lines will be longer than usual. Please be patient and kind as we get food out as quickly as possible. If you find yourself needing more food, you can use the link below to find a pantry.
2. We've got some oddly gigantic carrots going out this week! Snap a pic and let us know if you received them and what you plan to make with them (picture in the comments)!

Which of these areas in your life discourages you the most?
😮 Finding a job that pays more than your current position
😢 Feeling trapped by motherhood in a one-parent household
Tap your reaction or share your thoughts in the comments — your story might remind another mom she’s not alone. 💜
This is what Lifting the Load is about: showing up, helping where we can, and reminding single moms they’re not alone.
If you’d like to help another mom the way we helped Melissa, you can support the mission here: https://tinyurl.com/yk92fphc
“Every time something went wrong with my car, Lilly showed up. She never made me feel like a burden — she made me feel seen.” 💜
Stephanie Hancock’s story is a beautiful reminder of why Lifting the Load exists. What began as practical help turned into something much more — a sisterhood of women who understand what it means to carry the weight of the world and still keep going.
Through LTL, Stephanie has built lifelong friendships, found support through every setback, and rediscovered the power of community.
Take a moment to hear Sarah’s experience — because this is what hope looks like when it’s shared.
It's another day, and it's necessary to see that for every single mom treading water—exhausted, unseen, and trying to stay afloat—please know this: we see you.
We’re here to lift you up until you can breathe again. 💙
