Don't fall for fades, do not get deep incisional drainage post surery. Your safety and recovery matter. THis is painful and increases your risk of infection, dyhydration of the tissues and fibroisis!!
I have heard from too many clients recently that have had this type of work done in the past. IT is not safe for a masage therapist to reopen your incisions this is out of our scope of practice.

🚨 Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is NOT massage! 🚨

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that MLD and massage are the same thing. They are actually very different techniques with very different goals.

💆‍♀️ Traditional massage involves kneading, rubbing, tapping, and manipulating muscles and deeper tissues. It often increases circulation and brings more blood flow to the area.

💧 Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), on the other hand, uses gentle, precise movements applied to the superficial layers of the skin and fascia. The goal is to stimulate the lymphatic vessels located just beneath the skin and encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid.

The only thing massage and MLD truly have in common is that both are performed with the hands—but each serves a unique purpose. Understanding the difference can help you choose the treatment that best meets your goals.

With MLD:
✔️ We are not working muscles
✔️ We are not addressing trigger points
✔️ We are not trying to create heat or redness
✔️ We are not increasing blood flow to the area

Instead, we're supporting the lymphatic system—the body's natural drainage network—where swelling, fluid retention, and waste removal occur.

✨ What about our lymphatic massage sessions? ✨

This treatment is a blend of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and traditional massage techniques. While it does not move as much lymphatic fluid as a dedicated MLD session, the fluid that is moved is directed in the proper anatomical pathways toward the nearest lymph node clusters.

This approach allows us to:
✔️ Boost lymphatic flow
✔️ Address areas of tension and muscle restriction
✔️ Use slightly deeper pressure where appropriate
✔️ Provide both therapeutic relaxation and mild lymphatic support
