🚨 NATIONAL CHAMPION 🚨

Recent Cedar Crest graduate Ellie Schneider closed out her high school career in unforgettable fashion on Sunday, winning the Javelin at the New Balance Outdoor National Championships for the second straight year.

Competing at historic Franklin Field, Schneider launched an incredible throw of 167’4”, winning the event by nearly 25 feet over the next closest competitor.

The throw also set a new meet record, breaking the previous mark of 160’ set in 2022. It topped the 161’11” she threw at the PIAA State Championships, where she won State Gold and established a new Lancaster-Lebanon League record.

The national title came just one day after Schneider placed 5th in the Heptathlon, where she won three of the seven events: Javelin, High Jump, and 800m.

What a way to finish an incredible high school career!!!

The 2026 PIAA Baseball Championship Tournament is down to the Final Four in each classification!

After two rounds of State Tournament action, only four teams remain in Class 1A through 6A, each now just one win away from earning a spot in the State Championship Game at Penn State.

Congratulations to every team still standing. Reaching this point is a tremendous accomplishment, and now the chase for state gold continues.

Good luck to all of the semifinalists as they battle for their spots in the finals!
