TRIO at KU

We're excited to share a new KU TRIO SSS award: the TRIO Trailblazer! A TRIO Trailblazer is a graduating senior and active TRIO SSS participant who epitomizes the TRIO values of academic success, active engagement, and reciprocity to the TRIO community.

One of this year's TRIO Trailblazers is Anjali Singh, who is graduating with a B.A. in Human Biology, a B.A. in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, a minor in Public & Population Health, undergraduate certificates in Gender, Law and Policy and Global Awareness, and with university honors. Anjali is passionate about community health options and has provided information and assistance on SNAP applications to TRIO SSS students and staff. We're going to miss seeing Anjali, but we know she's going to continue improving lives through her volunteer, research, and academic pursuits.

One of this year's TRIO Trailblazers is Toby Brown, who is graduating with her B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and a minor in Sociology! Toby comes into the TRIO SSS office with a smile on her face, often with her youngest (also named Toby). Adult Toby is always eager to share her knowledge from classes and offer a helping hand. We're going to miss Toby (and little Toby), but we know she's going to continue to brighten the days of everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Congrats to soon-to-be TRIO SSS graduate Kyra Smith-Blosser! Kyra is completing her B.A. in Environmental Studies and her B.A. in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies.
