We are here to help educate you on how best to care for your pup during the hottest weeks of the year! ☀️

DON’T:
❌ Let your dog walk on cement, concrete, or asphalt at the peak heat of the day
❌ Leave your dog in the car, even with the windows down
❌ Leave your dog outside without proper shade and water
❌ Over-exert your dog in the heat

DO:
✅ Walk your dog after the sun goes down
✅ Test the heat of whatever surface your dog will walk on (if it’s too hot for you to stand on, it’s too hot for them, too!)
✅ Walk your dog on grass if they need to go out while the sun is out
✅ Bring water for your pup to drink if they are outside for longer than 15 minutes

SIGNS OF HEAT STROKE:
🥵 Excessive panting
🥵 Reddened gums
🥵 Dehydration
🥵 Tachycardia (fast heart rate)
🥵 Elevated temperature (over 104°F)
🥵 Vomiting/Diarrhea (with or without blood)
🥵 Disorientation
🥵 Weakness
🥵 Seizures
