Grinter Farms

Good morning! This is a bittersweet day for us. It’s the last day the shop is open (we can rest) but farmer Ted has already shifted to harvest mode; the corn is ready. (no time to rest)
The sunflowers behind the store are still in various stages of growth…some are filling seeds and some are still opening. (It’s been a strange year for this field.)
We still have a few calendars of neighbor Kevin’s at the shop this morning, but he has an online presence, too. I’ll try to link up in the commets.
You’ll have to settle for my photos today as neighbor Kevin was too busy playing with grandbabies this morning to traipse around the sunflower field.
We would like to sincerely thank you all for a wonderful sunflower year. Feel free to photo dump in the comments as we do love to see your photos! Even if we don’t have time to comment on each one, we try to look at them all.

Neighbor Kevin captured the sunrise to the east & a roll cloud to the west. We are FINALLY getting a bit of much needed rain. We are going to take some time this morning and breathe. We hope you get to do the same!

Good morning! This lovely, cool weather and missing all of the storms has made a perfect fall for sunflowers. They have really hung onto their glory. This very well could be the last weekend of pretty blooms but we still do have some that are just now opening….so who knows. (We did plant them all on the same day in July.)
If you venture out to see the flowers today, make sure you come down to the general store as Frog Hoppin’ BBQ will be there with their food truck.
