Bread & Roses is CLOSED on Monday, May 25, in honor of Memorial Day.

At this year's Nourishing Our Neighbors Gala, we set out to raise $95,000...and together, we raised over $121,000. We are absolutely blown away by the incredible show of generosity and compassion that every single person in the room brought.

From Heads or Tails, to Loida Love’s beautiful rendition of Bread & Roses, to the many Giving Board cheers, and that unforgettable moment when Institution for Savings helped us meet the match set out by board member Paul Previte (doubling the meals), it was a night we won’t forget.

But even more than the night itself, it’s what’s happening because of it. Each donation is already becoming meals on our tables and in our neighbors' homes. Together, our community is feeling seen, supported, and cared for.

To everyone who showed up, gave, volunteered, and supported: thank you. You make every meal possible.

A very huge thank you to all of our incredible sponsors!! And a huge shout-out to all of the volunteers from Lawrence Abbott Academy for their hard work and for keeping the energy high.

We’re so lucky to be part of this community. Because of you, we can keep showing up with food, dignity, community, and compassion.

En la Gala "Nourishing Our Neighbors" de este año, nos propusimos recaudar $95,000... y, juntos, logramos recaudar más de $121,000. Estamos absolutamente asombrados por la increíble muestra de generosidad y compasión que aportó cada una de las personas presentes en la sala.

Desde el juego de "Heads or Tails" (Cara o Cruz), pasando por la hermosa interpretación de "Bread & Roses" a cargo de Loida Love, hasta los numerosos vítores ante el "Giving Board" (Tablero de Donaciones) y ese momento inolvidable en el que Institution for Savings nos ayudó a cumplir con el desafío de donación equiparada propuesto por el miembro de la junta Paul Previte (duplicando así el número de comidas), fue una noche que no olvidaremos.

Pero, incluso más importante que la noche en sí, es lo que está sucediendo gracias a ella. Cada donación ya se está transformando en comidas sobre nuestras mesas y en los hogares de nuestros vecinos. Juntos, nuestra comunidad se siente vista, apoyada y cuidada.

A todos aquellos que asistieron, donaron, se ofrecieron como voluntarios y brindaron su apoyo: gracias. Ustedes hacen posible cada comida.

¡¡Un agradecimiento enorme a todos nuestros increíbles patrocinadores!! Y un reconocimiento muy especial a todos los voluntarios de la Lawrence Abbott Academy por su arduo trabajo y por mantener la energía en lo más alto.
