The Apostle Paul, a man with God's grace and favor, spreading the Good News of being made right through faith in Christ, encouraged believers to live by faith not sight (2 Cor. 5:7), have hope for heaven, and open wide their hearts (i.e. have real relationships now). In having found Jesus, Paul could live "sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything" (2 Cor. 6:10). We at Project Lydia are also learning "the secret of being content in any and every situation... [We] can do everything through him who gives [us] strength." (Phil. 4:12-13)
