Marker dedication pays tribute to 3 Black men lynched 140 years ago in Lawrence A ceremony Friday on the north side of Lawrence City Hall honored the lives and memory of three Black men who were murdered by a white mob atop the Kansas River bridge on June 10, 1882.

Installation of the lynching marker just west of Lawrence City Hall was completed around 2:00 p.m. today. The dedication ceremony will be there at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10th. Please come.
