The Arizona Corporation Commission approved SRPs application, and granted a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility at a hearing held January 15, 2025. Approval by the AZCC allows SRP to move forward with the South Mountain Transmission Project.

🚧 Traffic Improvement Alert: New Project Starting Soon in Laveen!🚧

Beginning Monday, November 11, 2024, Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) crews will be working to install a traffic signal at the intersection of West Vineyard Road and South 67th Avenue. The project will also include resetting the curb and gutter, along with repaving to meet ADA standards on the eastern side of the area.

This upgrade is expected to improve traffic flow and safety along South 67th Avenue and for vehicles turning onto or from West Vineyard Road. Construction will continue through early March 2025.

🚦 Please Note: Some road restrictions may be in place to accommodate the work. Remember to watch for crews, follow all traffic control signs, and slow down in the work zone to ensure everyone’s safety.
