• Prepare, set up, and test all paint spraying equipment prior to use to make sure all equipment is in working order.
• Apply surface materials when required to fill any surface imperfections. Inspect surface condition prior to coating and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
• Select and use various types of hand tools, abrasive sandpapers, and grinders.
• Understand and be able to recognize surfaces for painting readiness including the presence of grit.
• Prepare and mix coating materials in accordance with coating manufacturer's specifications.
• Apply protective coatings to various types of surfaces (generally metal) using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers.
