Do you know why God is called the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? Because He wanted you to see that His faithfulness covers every stage of your journey.

-Abraham represents promise.
-Isaac represents inheritance.
-Jacob represents struggle and transformation.

God attaches His name to all three to remind us that He is not only the God of our victories. He is also the God of our mistakes, our wrestling, and our becoming. He is the God who remains faithful through every season of our lives until His purpose is fulfilled.

Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Today’s thought
Have you ever felt like God has forgotten you? Your strength may be limited, but God's strength is limitless. When you wait upon the Lord, He gives you the courage to rise, the endurance to continue, and the faith to keep going.

When God wanted to make David a King, He didn't give him a crown, He gave him a Goliath. When God wanted to raise Joseph to the palace, He didn't give him a shortcut, He gave him prison. When God wanted to make Esther a queen, He didn’t give her comfort, He gave her a crisis. When He wanted to make Moses a leader, He didn’t give him a stage, God gave him a wilderness.
A lot of times when you feel God is breaking you, He’s actually building you. What you have to understand is that God doesn’t give us what we need, He gives you what you need to become everything that He needs you to be to fulfil calling on your life. God doesn’t give us what we expect in life, he gives us what we NEED to become the person we are meant to be.

Today’s thought
Each of us needs to ask ourselves: "Who or what is the god of our culture and nation?" Certainly, our God is the Lord, the King of Israel and Redeemer of the lost. He is the King of all nations, yet he is not always valued as God in our nations. In the hearts of all people, we are far from "one nation under God," but God is Lord of all nations. So, we can pray for revival to sweep our lands. We can repent for not placing him first in our own lives. He has promised to respond if we humble ourselves and seek him as a people, a church, and a nation. So, let's commit to humbling ourselves as we come to God in prayer, and then invite others to join us, to meet Jesus, to know our Father, to be filled with the Spirit, and to be made one with the "ruler of the Kings of the earth".

Luke 22:42
Father, if it is your will, take this cup from me; nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.

Today’s thought
None of us are perfect, nor will we ever be. We all carry regrets, moments that we wish we could change. Words we wish we never said and choices made that taught us painful lessons. But God never stopped loving us. He gives us strength to heal, grace to begin again, and another chance every single day to become better than we were yesterday. We need to thank God for never giving up on us. Life may not be what you planned, especially when everything is going wrong and many times the trials that you are facing are hard to understand. But remember this...God still reigns and He is in control of every situation. The best prayer you can pray is "Not my will, but yours, be done".
