HandUp

Our HandUp cofounders Sammie and Rose, are still active in the fight against homelessness in San Francisco. They’ve joined forces again to support Community Awareness & Treatment Services (CATS), a homeless service nonprofit that helps the most vulnerable people get off the street and find comprehensive social services.
In the era of COVID-19, Community Forward’s devoted shelter staff continue to provide critical services to their clients and residents and have taken on additional medical responsibilities, but it comes at great risk to themselves and their families.
Join Rose and Sammie in recognizing and honoring these essential workers on the front lines of COVID-19. Their campaign only has $3,000 to go and $2,000 of matching funds are currently available!

Access to housing is a basic human right. Policies that criminalize homelessness (with up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine) will not move folks into permanent and stable housing.
