At last night's meeting of the Albany County Legislature, our members voted to support several important initiatives:

✅Obtain $600,000 state funding to build a playground at Lawson Lake
✅ Approve cold-in-place asphalt recycling on County roads in Westerlo
✅ Convey 20 Harris Ave in Ravena to the Village of Ravena

I joined the Albany Muslim Advocacy Coalition earlier this month for their annual gala. It was an important event which highlighted issues and opportunities facing the local Muslim community.

I am happy to have voted for this important initiative. Housing is a critical part of every family's budget, and anything we can do as elected officials to help expand the supply of housing will ultimately help more families and improve affordability.

At last night's meeting, our members voted in support of an Albany County Legislature measure creating a revolving loan fund for housing development. This will help expand the housing supply and ease affordability concerns.
