Shaker is well represented on this year’s Times Union Boys’ Tennis All-Star team!
Senior Renat Gosmanov earned first-team honors after going undefeated in singles during the regular season and helping lead the Blue Bison to the Suburban Council regular-season title. He also teamed with junior Rishab Arvind to reach the Section 2 doubles finals. Joining Gosmanov on the All-Star team are second-team selections Rishab Arvind, Ronith Arvind, Aniket Kothapollay and William Mao. Shaker has been named the 2025–26 Girls’ School of the Year, and it’s easy to see why!

The Blue Bison put together one of the most impressive all-around seasons in the region, powered by major championship breakthroughs across multiple programs. At the center of it all were statement runs: girls’ basketball capturing the Class AAA sectional and regional titles as well as making it into the Final Four for States, flag football winning Sectional and Regional championships while finishing as NYSPHSAA Class A state runner-up, and girls’ lacrosse claiming the Class A sectional championship.

These teams finished their seasons as champions and the result defined the year and set the tone for a memorable 2025–26 year at Shaker. Amazing job girls!

Shaker’s championship season is reflected in this year’s Times Union Boys’ and Girls’ Lacrosse All-Star teams.

The Blue Bison placed nine players on the teams after both programs captured Section 2 Class A titles. First-team honors went to Michael Hennessey, Tanner Donovan, Ryan Chudzinski, Michael Baccaro, Libby Gialanella, Kiera Puls and Joelle Hannoush, while Tessa Carroll and Briella Fiacco earned second-team recognition.
